My home is a tiny block in a suburb. I could literally run from the back fence to the road out front in about 10 secs. I wouldn't pass a single lake along the way :)

OK, guess you got me on that one. If I go straight East from here as the crow flies there are no towns for 160+km's. There is one area approx. 20 minutes South-west of here that is literally 160 X 160 km square with no civilization within it.
But the country you live in has some beautiful scenery/wildlife, from what I have seen in your travels and pics of it.

Yes, there are definitely some beautiful things within easy reach of where I live at present. The plan is to move south at some point in the near future. I want to live closer to real mountains.

Love the two pictures with the reflection in the lake. The last one makes me want to go and pick blueberries, however none here in Mississauga except in the grocery store.
