    Owners of registered copies of PSE8 can buy CS5 for $299 through September 13th. I didn't wait a moment longer and neither should you.

    No I haven't. :( But I have a crown to put on the tooth that gave me so much trouble earlier this year so probably can not afford it at this time.

    That's funny 'cause I had to sell one of my gold teeth to pay for the software.

    Photoshop CS5 is $699US

    If what you say is true then;
    Elements 8 is $99 and and then the upgrade to CS5 is $299 = Total $398

    It would seem go and buy elements 8 then upgrade it to CS5 and you would save basically $300

    Am I mississing something here ??

    If there is an upgrade to CS whatever in in Elements, its a feature I wasn't aware of. At any rate, your math is correct. This offer applys to not just PSE 8, but also to Photoshop Elements for Windows 6.0, 7.0; Photoshop Elements Mac 4.0, 6.0, and 8.0. So if you have the older versions, you get the discount, too. If you own no other Adobe software you would be roughly $300 ahead to get one of those copies registered with Adobe and then proceed to to a CS5 download link.

    Actually, it gets even better. Save 30% on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom® 3 when you buy it with Adobe Photoshop CS5. Are times that hard over at Adobe?
