I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free
Fly through the revolution

Sorry for double posting of pic from another thread, but it just fit so well.
Hey Greg, love that pic and appropriate title - jimmy :)
Beautiful photos Lisa and Hillbilygirl. So wonderfully sharp with great colours - jimmy :)
Casil, wow, that hit me with a ton of bricks. I looked at the picture and then read the words. I just buried a good friend the other day who passed on way before his time and his cousin sang that song at the funeral. He was a very mentally disturbed person and he's in a much better place now.
Thank you. I think you just gave me closure.
Beautiful shot.
Wow that's a humbling compliment Xenos...glad it helped and you liked it.
Just an Fyi....this was the grave of a little girl who didn't make it past 10 years old.
I'll be sad to see this one go ...it's been a really fun assignment and I hope we can continue it either here or via a new thread...anyone else with me on this one?
Oh and Ig in answer to your ??? Where'd I find that sign, it was in Banff, in one of the neighbourhoods...when I saw it, I immediately thought of that song and this assignment!
YouTube - Patty Griffin and Natalie Maines - Mary
Mary you're covered in roses, you're covered in ashes
You're covered in rain
You're covered in babies, you're covered in slashes
You're covered in wilderness, you're covered in stains
You cast aside the sheet, you cast aside the shroud
Of another man, who served the world proud
You greet another son, you lose another one
On some sunny day and always stay, Mary
Jesus says Mother I couldn't stay another day longer
Flys right by me and leaves a kiss upon her face
While the angels are singin' his praises in a blaze of glory
Mary stays behind and starts cleaning up the place
