Thanks.:thankyou: I'm sure I could get him to sit still for even 5 secs I could get some great shots.
Yes, and this was one of the good shots. My older boy can't smile "Naturally". My best bet it genuinely make them laugh with a "Dad" joke and hope the don't move too much.
Thanks.:thankyou:
Not your normal portrait...
A very interesting and creative portrait. :highfive:The eyes are getting just a hint of light; if they got a wee bit more I think this portrait would be even stronger.
here is one I took at random. I was taking pictures of something else and I kept hearing 'cheese'. I look up and here's this baby looking at me. she was too cute so I took her picture. I used GIMP to edit it.

Wow..I haven't checked this thread in a bit..! Some wonderful photos! :)
I got this one today, I just love playing with the light/darkness. Wish I could of had a bit more light in the right eye, but I get what I can :)

Accompanying disclaimers: I know it isn't "tack sharp" and there are "distracting background elements" (the tree that appears to be growing out of the subject's head), but I still kinda like the shot and I could not find any easy way to get rid of the tree in PS. While I was trying to get this shot, my 1 yr old daughter fell in some muck off to the side so I was rushed as usual.
I was just playing with my camera over the weekend and my son was just passing by when I took this image from him, he always so funny in front of the camera.

Is there a limit on the number of submission in this the assignment?
I thought seeing getting a decent portrait of a single child was quite difficult, I should try 3 at once, immediately after a little chocolate fix on easter morning.:wall-an: I've got to get some software that can take the best faces from various shots and blend in to a single image, because as usual I took heaps of shots, bu none where all 3 had good smiles or were all looking at the camera.
It has become an easter tradition with my kids that the easter bunny brings them new pyjamas as we roll in to winter. So this is them trying on their new PJs. Taken under room lights plus 2 x super bright white bike lights(1 for some highlights and 1 to minimise shadow on the back wall) plus 680EX speed light for fill.

There is no limit on posting here - post away Antz
Bambi - I like the grain in this shot (bit of an odd crop tho)
Kat - I like the drama in the blond boy shot
F8 - In this case, Because the boy is in silouette, the tack sharp doesn't matter that much to me. Good eye on the tree growing out of the head (as long as you've noticed it). I love the perspective and framing here - very well done for someone 'rushing'
jventer - very, very cute shot souvenir shot. (souvenir because it's really soft)
Antz - This photo made me laugh because of the blond boy's "cheese" smile. The lighting is quite nice indeed but the cropping could be better.
Nice to see so many posts here - mine will come toward the end of the month as i am having camera issues.
