Should we start up in February - any interest?
I like assignments, even though I only get around to a few a year.
I'm like AT in that I enjoy them. Even if I never get off my butt and exacute, at least they give me something to think about.
All I know is that June assignments better be "Ancient Ruins", "Italian Cuisine", "Italian Landscapes", "City Canals", or "Roman Street Photography".
I'm in favor of assignments. I do think about them, as Barefoot points out, even if I don't do them. I think last year I got more of them done than usual. I missed not having one in January.
I'm keen.
I have already conceded that I am not going to stick with my proposed 365 project (just too hard after I got back to work)
I had been noting a few ideas I had during last year just for this purpose. These suggestions are:
film noir
bubbles
looking up/looking down
panning
shot from low level
street sellers
legs
I like these Ideas RM!
Please members - throw a few ideas out there and we will make it happen.
Here's a few ideas I have;
Gestures (posed or unposed)
Five
Make an image with a camera in the shot.
"Flickr Friday" Flickr group has been doing weekly themes for a while now. There may be some ideas for assignments amongst this batch if anyone wants to flick through and get some ideas
Their discussion page is here https://www.flickr.com/groups/flickrfriday/discuss/
A few I found from there include
coffee
power
candlelight
mirror
I may try to have better look later when I have a bit more time
Cool - - I'm gonna take the liberty of choosing 12 and we can start with that.....just level 1 for now.
If interest grows we can resume level 2.
As usual I base the decisions on the likelihood of people doing the assignment - lol.
Please feel free to throw out additional ideas for the next day or so. thx
May be too late but I will throw one more in the list;
The Decisive Moment
After seeing Barefoot's most recent post, how about "multiple exposure"?
Maybe "backgrounds" where the background is deliberately an important part of the image
Thanks for the ideas everyone - list will go up later today.
