The front door to Canada Customs and Revenue offices in Niagara Falls near the railway bridge that crosses between Canada and the US. Literally did a "drive by shooting" of this, as there are no places to park.

another shot from the old section of down town Niagara Falls, this used to be court house, now a private law office.
Ok, I am getting behind but everyone has great doors to share! Here we go, I will try to catch up this way:
1. http://www.photography.ca/Forums/att...ors-door-2.jpg
asnow, I do not know if they were confused about the window door thing but you got to love that teal blue and the framing of the door/ window by the caepenter is slightly odd!

Casil, that is a weird rough looking door and wall. It appears to have two deadbolts, a peekhole and no door knob. Kind of makes you wonder.

Iggy, that is cool! Lol, it looks like we are looking through a very large Tweedle Dee's legs.
4. http://i781.photobucket.com/albums/y...ightMyFire.jpg
Barefoot, yep, that lights my fire. You gotta love a red door!
5. http://www.photography.ca/Forums/att...202_edited.jpg
Very pretty, Iggy! Both the red door which is very evocative of the maritimes, and the pink glow of morning light!

jhuang 999, lovely ornate door. Nice contrast of the light to the dark of the interior. Really brings out the carving on the door.

QuisutDeus, very mysterious, indeed!

Love this old worn door, edG! What is an eyesore in reality often makes for fascinating photos!

Not a bad drive-by capture at all, ed! I just wish they would clean their door. What will people think?!!
Cool stuff everyone! Now I need to go out and collect some doors, too!
Love the Chambers door as well, Ed!
Great to see all together!
Went out today to find some doors ... chanced on many, some noteworthy ... here is # 1, this one is in Inglewood, a trendy neighbourhood in Calgary. Well, sorta. I suppose this building does not quite fit the trend ....

Found this "door" on engine #29
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4088/...a9f5d380_z.jpg
Just think of it as shabby chic! Lol, love the boarded up then boarded up again windows!
Oh! Oh! Not quite fast enough! I love old 29 too!
But by far the most interesting door leads to "The People's Lunch". I was quite intrigued by it's simplicity. I was even more intrigued by the rest of the building ... the 'dumpster deli' and the gal in the window ...

Looks Deceive. These doors belong to the old court house which was torn down, but the distinctive doors were placed outside the new court house, complete with lighting. I was sure the other Calgarians roaming the downtown would capture these first. LOL. Mike

one of the many heavy oak door entrances at the Mount Carmel Religious Centre
Another back-alley image; hard to get the artist better lit in the bright sunshine. Tried different metering, but it blew all the outside stuff out ...

cheers Marko and here's another, caught this out of the corner of my eye this morning as I passed the Via Rail Station down town.
Door to the Afterlife:
Cool shot with that fisheye. Looks like you are shooting way more than your 1 per day though ;) I knew I couldn't do it either. It would be really hard and I still don't really understand the point behind it.
Let this be my first for the month.
Thanks Ig...after re-reading the "rules" and posting a comment to get clarification over at the other forum in which this whole thing started, I found I had misinterpreted the idea. The ideas was as you originally stated, to take at least one shot every day with the same lens, not to only take one shot. :headslap:
I don't think I would have lasted very long had it been only one shot...you are right...it is a dumb idea.:wall-an:
Interesting doors everybody...Here is my first one. Next time I will try using a polarizing filter...

shot this yesterday on my early morning shoot
Is that Dundurn Castle Light50?
nicely done - haven't been there in years, actually I hate to say it, decades.
Keepin the faith. Another Lensbaby 2.0 capture
At the crypt door. Knock before entering ! !! !!!
I happened upon this old door and in my mind's eye I saw a cross. I was reminded of the church and all it's recent disturbing revelations ! Thus the title - jimmy
Do you believe in ghosts? Sit back from your screen and look for the eyes, they are just beyond the crypt door!!
wow JJJ you really jumped into this one - very cool shots and processing
Hey thanks ed. Glad you enjoyed these pics - jimmy
Did a nice tour of downtown Calgary today, in the company of two well known local photographers ... spied another door:
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4106/...b42d7a32_z.jpg
Oh, and we inadvertantly stepped on the door that provides an entrance to the bowels of Calgary
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4087/...d67a8572_z.jpg
Well thanks Matt. Hey it looks like you found the back doors ! Haha well done - jimmy
good eye Matt - nicely done
