Some portraits from the countryside

Hey all,
I have been out of town the past two weeks. On our way, we came across these two cute girls who were very happy to be photographed.

The lighting was so harsh but I couldn't resist. :shrug: Wat'du all think?

I quite like the comp in shot 2 and I like the faces in shot 1 but the light IS way to harsh.

I might recommend that the next time the sun is high and harsh (not directly overhead though, at an angle) try putting the sun behind the model (in a similar way to shot 1). Then add fill flash or a reflector to fill the shadows.

Shot 2 also has a bluish cast on my monitor. Hope that helps - Marko

Nice portraits given the conditions. Marko sums up the technical bits nicely, I just want to say they are great looking portraits. Love their cute, smiling faces. :thumbup:
