For those who are fans here is a lecture by Joe Mcnally at a university, not much in the way of tech info but a great career tale nonetheless. its an hour or so as I recall so get some popcorn.

Watched this last night. It is a great video! Very interesting to hear of his adventures. Most of us will never go to his extremes but he says a lot of common sense things that apply to every photographer. Two things that made me think: one- learn your technical stuff so that it becomes second nature and second- do your reshoot the first time.
He was something of a gonzo photographer in his time. Well worth watching; thanks for posting Michaelaw. :)
