Default Sold me another canvas print today!!!!

It's like printing money (on a really slooowww printer).

Thats two prints I have sold (plus I sold one at a charity event for a lot of money).

Plus, tomorrow, I have a two hour paid photo shoot for $100 an hour.

Who here would have ever believed four years ago when I joined, that I would be selling prints and having paid shoots.

I owe it all to this site (not the money, just the credit )

I sold this one this time for $185!!!

Congratulations! It's invigorating to sell something you've created, especially when you get to see the joy it brings to the person who loved it so much that they had to buy it!

    That great AT.

    Which gallery bought it???

Seriously though, just wondering how you came to sell it. Was it displayed somewhere, or how did you get it out there? (or did you charge your mom again )

I have some images on display/ for sale at two different locations. One is a gift shop/antique store near my house. She has actually sold three of my images, so I stand corrected. One was of the foggy cathedral in New Orleans.

The other place that has my images on display is a hair salon. She displays local artists, and the first time I was in there, I asked her about it, and she said sure, bring a few. All the other works in there are paintings. Well, a week later, I show up with three canvas prints (foggy cathedral, Pirate's Ally, and the other foggy shot of the cathedral and statue from straight on).

She says, "Sorry, I only display artwork of local artist." She didn't realize I was the photographer, she thought I was selling just some random prints of New Orleans.

Best thing about selling them at the salon, she keeps nothing, it is all mine. She says she gets great artwork for her salon for free.

The gift shop keeps 30% of my sales.

Great job! You put in the work and enthusiasm and now it's paying off! not just that you have paid work but that you will have a collection of really nice photos of the family as well. Your girls will treasure those when they grow up for sure.
