I have a couple of very capable apps that among other features will automate the process of capture for stacking. Plug your camera in, set the nearest and furtherest focus points you want to use, and then just hit the shutter button on the screen. The rest is magic. I'll get around to trying that feature one day. Maybe.
Thanks Barefoot, I just downloaded it.

I played around with it for a minute and what I do not get, on my two landscape lenses (Tamron 17-50 2.8 & Tamron 10-24 4.5), they only go up to about 7 ft and 10 ft FL's before hitting infinity. If it is calling for several shots between my highest FL and infinity, how do you do it?
