3 views of a clematis

The 1st orton version has a much warmer coloration, which I think looks a bit better. I don't know if that's what a clematis normally looks like or not. It also manages to keep some of the subtle petal detail. For the shadows and brighter parts of the petals, though, the original seems to be better. All of them look sharp to me.

I agree. The second one seems to have the whites blown out a bit. These are tricky to capture with all the different shadows in them. I take it you did not use a flash to neutralize some of the shadows? I have been palying around with a flash on those lower pictures, and it seems to work if you position the flash appropriately. I need lots of experimentation with that (actually, I should WRITE DOWN how i got each shot, so I can duplicate the effort :wall-an:).
Other than that, they are tack sharp and DOF is handled very well. Good work.
