I think this is a very good photo in that it left me asking questions... i wanted to know more...
Yeah, I really like this photo. Good incorporation of your surroundings. Really a good concept and shot. Good job.
I look at this and I think of how this stay at home mom feels trapped when doing laundry day in and day out...I get that sense from this photo. Like she wants to go out but can't.
I can get a story out of this..I like it!

This was a concept shoot and was done in a local laundromat. Brandy is the model who is a studying hairstylist and make up artist. A canon 430 flash was placed in a dryer on a gorilla tripod. I softened the light a bit by attaching white material on the inside of the dryer with magnets. The flash was set on manual at 1/4 power and was fired with the cybersynchs.
Finally I asked the model to looked scared. I think I got a concerned look *LOL*

Stunning shot, although I might have cloned the scratches from the glass and darkened the heel of the palm ever so slightly. The light on her neck and face is fantastic.
I think the shot is cool, but I find the shadows on the face to unorganised(blotchy) and distracting.Quote:

There are shadows there, no doubt about that. But taken in context of the location (i.e. not a studio) they don’t kill the image. One light flash can produce strong shadows and some like that. But you’re right, they can be controlled. A modeling lamp thrown in the dryer along with the flash could have helped to show where the shadows would fall.
