Self Portrait
OK, these are always the toughest to put up for critique. I truly shot myself, setting the camera on a dresser, and propping it with the trunk of a brass elephant. For some reason, this works much better than using a tripod. (that's a joke; I just didn't feel like walking downstairs and getting it)
Apparently, I've gone COWBOY!

well howdy Mellowinman. :)
it's an interesting portrait and I like the perspective on this. the eyes seem sharp and the expression is a bit somber. what I'm not sure about is the stark white background.

Hey, Mellowinman. Maybe my eyes are fuzzy (Bambi may see things better) but I think the focus on the eyes was missed. Something very difficult to do on a self-portrait but still just as important. Also, I'm not connecting with your expression. I would like to see some kind of emotion there.
It would be nice to have a bit of an edge to the image to keep your eyes from wanderin' away and the harsh shadows from the on camera flash is not the most pleasant. You might try more natural lighting by sitting/standing next to a nice large window on a sunny day. (shady side of the house).
