Hi, im new. im mostly interest in this section of the forum because i believe it allows me to learn more about my shots and what i need to improve on next.
and... Heres my first upload on the forum! ta-da,

Welcome ... and yep ... it's dark :)
Not sure the skewed angle is complimentary to the shot, unless this is a theme park and it's actually built that way.
I think this is a good effort otherwise though. Nice low perspective, lots of leading lines to draw us down the alley, just enough exposure to give us details in the darkness.
I possibly might have moved up closer to that chair though and made that more of a star in the show.

Welcome to the forum, dexv! Mad Aussie has just about covered everything nicely and I really can't add too much to it but when I saw the image it struck me that it would have been way cool if there was some kind of shadowy figure down the end of that long "hallway" ;)

I miss some live element in this picture, its looks like a dark alley, but I miss a person somewhere or a cat walking

jlabel and Iggy echo my first instinct here. You are guiding 'toward' the background with the 'lines' you have captured - but there is nothing in the background, it's almost pure black. The image needs something prominent in the bkgd imo. Hope that helps - welcome again! marko

thanks for the advice, when i took the picture i had no subject in mind to be honest. Next time i will put these advice in mind :D.
