Wow! With built in image stabilization to boot. I guess that would make it the "PEN IS".
Sorry, couldn't resist.![]()
Pretty cool. I think my next camera will be in this category..Super Point and Shoot.

Looks nice, would come in handy if you want to be discreet sort of like with the old Leica's. Seem over priced for what they give you and the lens selection leaves much to be desired. I guess for some people it will come in handy, I just can't get over the cost of it.

Sure is. Sometimes a DSLR is just too big. I have a compact P&S, but its low light performance is hopeless. Something like this has a bigger sensor and should have much lower noise at higher ISO. I know so much more about cameras now that I would spend a lot more time testing and choosing next time.

It's not a point and shot, it's a DSLR
It's a micro-four thirds system, with interchangeable lens.
I think the Olympus is a visionary, they are the future. Why? When they will make the sensor to be as good as Nikon and Canon on high ISO, then you will see no point to carry a huge camera body. They think in futureThey are the first on many things (IS - image stabilization, dust removal system, 100% digital lens)
IMO soon we will look at this huge camera bodies, like at an old system.

Sorry, Lovin. Although it is a very nice camera indeed, it is most certainly not a DSLR. Olympus and Panasonic both make use of the 4/3’s sensor in their DSLRs, but the Micro 4/3 system eliminates the mirror and optical viewfinder therefore it can not be truly referred to as a DSLR.

Rather than show any disrespect to the camera by calling it a “point and shoot” I’d think that “Ultra High-End Compact Digital” is a very apt description.
