Good idea BareFoot. My CR-V wouldn't hold an 8' ladder but maybe about half that though.. and I wouldn't have to worry bout it being stolen either :)

I like the image the way it is; yes, there is always another time and a better opportunity to shoot it with the shadow being in between the windows, but seriously, for me this does not have to be. Chances are the the shadow then will interfere with the window on the left (top portion). So it is six of one, half a dozen of another.

Thanks Matt for the comments. I think it is a little unleveled but I agree it's probably mostly lens distortion.

I also love the image the way it is, but agree that it would be a great place to come back to and reshoot. Be aware also that the sun sets and rises at a different place day to day, and to get a specific placement of the shadow on the wall may take months. Even then, you might find that the season or lighting isn't perfect those days. If not, come back in 6 months and the sun will be in the same position. Seems to me like it,d be a fun long-term project.

That was nicely spotted. Nice sharp shadow captured too.
