Hey all,
I took this one from my visit to an old castle in the North of the country. I was trying to compose for the gates and this boy jumped in. What do you think?
I also have some more pictures coming up.

Hi Yisehaq, I like where you going with this - but I would like a little more symmetry (balanced amounts of the gate in the foreground showing on each side) and the image seems slightly tilted to the right.
Thanks edG! I gave it another try.

I like the color a lot better because the boy is kind of lost in the sepia one, plus, you may want to try and clone out the hose/pipe on right side of arch.
Thanks theantiquetiger! I thought so too.
I agree w/Ed on the slope and see you've corrected it nicely.
I like both corrections - they are very different and I like the colour one for the cuteness and the monochrome one for the vintage look.
Thanks Marko! I sometimes get too excited I think! ;(
I think my preference is monochrome one. I also find that the boy standing there looking out helps make the image.
I am with monochrome it is much stronger. Also like first processing-better vintage look.
I really love the monochrome re-edit. I like the 2 layers of arches and 2 layers of doors. The symmetry being broken by the boy in door realy works for me.
Thanks you all!
One thing's for sure, your photographs are always some of the most interesting and I always look forward to seeing them posted.
Thanks so much, Barefoot! That is a great compliment!
I prefer the colour one. But for me this image is really all about the composition which is great and definitely better in the revised versions. Well done.
Thanks AntZ!
