I love the colour one. The B&W rocks as well.

mmmmmmm, more eye candy .... I prefer the monochrome one - has more drama in it, and the bokeh is fantastic!

Both great images, full of lovely detail. My preference runs to the color, which has more detail, because the B and W processing seems to wash out some areas on the leaves' edges. Thanks for sharing. Are they houseplants?

they look like blue flag, a type of wild iris.
So I recently did a b&w conversion of a colorful flower as well and I find messing with the color sliders in b&w mode very useful for bringing out detail or surpressing detail - have you messed with yours casil? I don't think it needs it over much, but it could be fun.

Here's some info on them:
Canadian Iris Society - Culture: Siberian Iris (http://www.cdn-iris.ca/siberian.html)
I ran this one through a Silver effex preset to get the white on the leaves in contrast with the dark background....which is what i was going for. I will try another preset and post it for ideas and comments if you like. :) I did do the sliders but I think with the preset they didn't have much effect. :)

Here's another version...personally I am a fan of my original light one best but I am doing this b/c others had thoughts...I am okay with posting alternatives for interpretation once in a while. :)
