Here's the train yard in south end Halifax, NS providing train service to the container pier there.

Hi Iggy,

Love the industrial scene here, I'm curious to why you chose to crop of the tracks on the right of the image? The leading lines and high vantage point all work nicely.:thumbup:

Thanks. A couple of reasons for this particular framing. First, though it looks like I only cut off one track on the right there were actually 3 or 4 more and I really couldn't get them all in without doing a pano. Also, I really wanted that little "wall of green" on the left hand side to act as a bit of a frame to the scene. And last, while I'm not a slave to guidelines, putting the bulk of the first train car in and around one of the thirds seemed to make sense to me compositionally.
