I have been printing my own note and greeting cards at Kinko's to sell at art fairs. They are OK, but I want more pop. I know of cards I can purchase and attach one of my photos, but I want to print both the photo and something on the back of the card (website, info on photo, etc.). My lab (whcc) and other labs I found will do it, but there are a minimum of 24 cards of the same type. That could work for greeting cards (sold individually), but note cards are a problem. I sell about 15 different sets, each set has 6 different photo note cards. That is 144 cards or 24 sets. A large amount of inventory and cost. If I would print all 15 sets, I would have over 2100 cards printed at a great cost (at least to me). Sometimes I print only a set or two (6 or 12 cards) to see if they sell.

Does anyone know of a place that would print PDF files for small runs on a press that would give the cards pop, without having to purchase so many?

There are lots of printing spots but the only one I can recommend as I've used them before for printing some business cards is Moo. I really liked the results. For more info visit: MOO | Design and print Business Cards, MiniCards and More | moo.com USA (http://us.moo.com/en/products/)

would i be worth it to buy your own high quality printer and print them yourself. I have printed on cardstock with just my old hp and it turned out nice so a high quality printer should work. You can fold them after.
