Nice set there, Bambi. That was an interesting tower. I think it would have been a much nicer subject with deep blue sky behind it. Too bad the sun was hiding on us...

well I know I'm going back! I think in the summer sitting on the deck of the waterside restaurant and having a beer would be nice too.
Neat subject! Is the first phoot HDR? Or Topaz?

yes the first is hdr. I had the 3 exposures and none of them seemed quite right individually.

I just love the detail the HDR brought out in the building. It so works for me. :)

What a cool old tower! I wonder if that vine still flowers in season?
On a side note Bambi ... I was playing in Photomatix the other day when one of my shots came up with those bright pink spots in the sky like some of yours have recently. By adjusting the highlight saturation slider I could remove it! :)

Cool find Bambi, loving shot 1. I really must have another play at HDR, these are quite inspiring shots.

I should add my version in here too not that it differs much from Bambi's but, hey, the more the merrier...

Non HDR gives it a bit more of a moody feel Iggy!

Yeah, thanks! It was a fairly drab day. Interesting spot too. We were poking in the library's "back yard" garden for some shots where the tower was and this lady sticks her head out the door. Apparently, she and her husband run the library out of the bottom of their house! Luckily, Bambi was along with me and the lady told us to help ourselves to a few shots.

okay. thanks! I've been trying to get rid of them via the colour replacing tool with some success. (but not enough I guess :))
