well not in the middle of no where but it might as well have been! This morning I drove Ed to the airport. On the drive I noted that there was steam coming from our car (2002 ford focus wagon, 287,000km). 'no' says husband 'it's the cold rain on the warm engine'.
I drop him off and then go to the city to do some errands (pick up a new lens :clap:) and visit my mother. I just got on the highway to come home and the warning light for coolant comes on and I have to pull over. :eek: This is the photo I took waiting for CAA (Can Auto Assoc) to come to my rescue:

My hero 'Geoff' located the problem (leak in the hose), refilled my radiotor with ditchwater and then followed me so that I could get to my mechanic (100kms away). Why does this always happen when you are 1) far from home and 2) husband is away? :shrug::wall-an:
Ha ha ha ha! You took a photo! That a girl! Too bad for the car though :(

lol. If I was really brave I would have asked 'Geoff' the tow truck driver (aka my knight in shining armor) if I could take his picture :)

Cool Shot.
Side note regarding the car though, get your mechanic to check the thermostat housing. I'm a bit of a focus guru, mostly performance stuff but also a lot of regular issues. That is one weak point on the focus and a very common ailment that is often missed or overlooked. It's a plastic housing and there is now an aluminum one available that has the thermo inside it as one complete unit.
Also make sure to let your mechanic know you used ditch water in it. It should get flushed through after that.

too young I think Casil (but quite cute). I was more likely to introduce him to my daughter...

:headslap::wall-an: Darn it! Ahh well...
Quick related story....
While waiting at the Ctrain station yesterday an older gentleman (who I saw in passing on the way to the platform and smiled at in an acknowledgement) came up to me introduced himself as Blake...shook my hand and told me I was a "very attractive woman"....lol:eek:...Nice and as forward as he was I had to pull my hand away from him after the handshake as it kind of creeped me out. :o I was a bit taken aback by the whole ordeal at the time...lol...now I am just taking it as a lovely compliment. :)

Neat shot Bambi. At first, when I was scrolling down, I thought the car hood was an umbrella - so the rest that made it the car was a surprise.
