An idea gone hideously wrong.

I like the concept, but I find the bright circles of flare are just too distracting for me. Tough shot to pull off.

Can you tell us what you wanted to achieve here? I agree that the flare is attracting a lot of attention. But I think it's been included for a reason. But since I don't know your goals, I cannot comment on what part you might have "failed". I recon the picture has potential though... :)

Okay I think I know- it's the christian idea of the 'rapture' in which all of those saved in Christ go directly to heaven and the rest are left behind. I believe it's also followed by the second coming of Christ and the Anti-christ. (remnants of my babtist upbringing coming back).
So for me, knowing this, this picture works for me. The bright light makes sense- it washes out the 'people' close to the light and the others look like they are directing their attention to it in a surprised way.
I think this rocks. Well done JAS.

exactly what bambi said (only it isn't exclusively a Christian thing for me):highfive:
Totally works for me. Well done and well thought out imo.

Now that I understand the context of rapture I get it good job. Back to the pagan rituals now.
