I'm guessing he's a juvenile? The ones I see don't lose the gray blue color in the winter, though the crest feathers seem to change. Regardless, a good capture.

That's a lovely shot. I hope you don't mind me saying so but while I like framed images, I think this one might be a little too heavy. I find it kind of takes away from this great photo you've captured.

As far as frames go, I like using them as they make the colors pop a little more. I've actually been playing around with the sizes a bit. I'll try a few thinner ones and see how it looks.
