ok, well not really, but I was grooving to some Monster Magnet earlier and that song just doesn't get old.
so before these were washed away in the rain to clog the roadsides and driveways of the world, I shot them. Tough little buggers to shoot let me tell you. Lots of DoF choices and a tremendously deep little specimen for something essentially so small.
Anyway, I really like the sense of crazy energy here. Used the OM 90mm macro and the 25mm extension tube. Forget the f-stop but it's probably 11 or so. I really should have gone for more so you could see the center of the flowers themselves, but it got too windy.

Oh and one other funny thing. When I was a kid around 4 years old, I thought these little maple blossoms were caused by my father's tractor. I mean, they coincided so perfectly. Dad would get the tractor out every April to start rototilling and doing other stuff, so I naturally associated them in my woefully uninformed head. I'd find them way down the street or by the sandpit and wonder why dad had the tractor all the way over there. What a little freak.
