What a difference a card makes

I had a a pretty high quality ATI FireGL V7100 video card in my computer, my son upgraded his box and had a Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS. As far as I know they should be close in performance NOT. The Nvidia blows the ATI out of the water. I now think I may have been over sharpening photos lately. Also all the advance features in CS4 now work.

NVidia is definitely the chipset to get and this is one place where more money will get you better performance up until the last few percent then you are just wasting money. Just sent my laptop off to Dell for some repairs and I'm using a backup computer... missing the video card in that puppy already :(
