I am still playing with the settings on my E-520
This was on a cloudy day , in trees and poor light

cloudy and overcast days are often the best light actually. congrats on getting so close, I think a touch of contrast and clarity boost would go a long way here. If you could bring out the eye, that would make it a keeper.

I definitely prefer overcast conditions for shooting birds. I often use a flash as well.
You caught him with a cool pose on there Fred!

It's been windy here. Looks like the little guy is holding on for dear life. Except that a glint of light is missing in the eye, I like the photo a lot.

The picture was taken at the Inglewood Bird Sancuarty in Calgary
