Where I'm standing to capture this is where the inlet ends, probably a mile or so from the ocean where it began. Always wish I could flip a switch and be back in time before the first ship ever entered this inlet...I'd love to see what it looked like with pine trees on either shore:) This little weather system was just moving in last night following a few days of sun.

I often wonder what locations looked like before Europeans arrived, too. Pine trees instead of buildings would be equally interesting/photogenic, but in a different way.
