It is kind of a toffee nosed, "KEEP OFF THE GRASS" type of message. I'd bet my next dollar it was thought up by a Britt....I can say that because that's what I is...Am....Was :laughing: They neglected to add "No loud business deals or gossip on cell phones" :laughing::laughing:

Actually the more I look at this, the more I like it due to the "Sharpie" comment that really draws attention to the oppressive nature of the sign if that isn't to harsh a judgment on the sign itself. Interesting capture...

well there are spikes on top if that helps.
It's on the Public Gardens which is a Victorian Garden in the heart of Halifax. It is a lovely spot. I think that they are trying to protect the grass to preserve the beauty. However, the sign is a bit oppressive. :) and the sharpie caught my eye- hence the photo. It is a very British Park. It's interesting to contrast it with Point Pleasant Park which is much more liberal. They even have *gasp* off leash areas for dogs!!!! :eek:
