I posted this on the blog but I thought I'd share it here as well.
Leonard Cohen is one of my favourite artists and I was lucky enough to get this shot a few weeks ago.

wow.... very nice... is this a candid type shot?

i went through a big cohen phase.... haven't listened to him much lately... i also have a book of his poetry..

Thanks travis. Nope on the candid, I was actually lucky enough to meet him just for a few minutes a few weeks ago. He was gracious enough to let me take a few shots and i asked him for this pose. I also have a shot of him posing with my sister - it's so cute. She was TOTALLY starstruck. We saw his concert that weekend in Saguenay QC. First row floor. Totally wicked-good concert with something like 15 standing ovations. The other musicians were also spectacular!!! It was a great weekend!! :)

Hey everyone just thought I'd share. This month's (December 2008) Uncut Magazine (http://www.uncut.co.uk/magazine) (a British music magazine) used this as a full page image in their feature on the incredible return of Leonard Cohen. Cool eh?

I've been lucky enough to have met and photographed a number of celebs in the past....and in general, honestly, not a big deal.
But Leonard Cohen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_cohen) is one of my favourite modern artists in ANY discipline or craft, and so I was thrilled to have photographed him.
And then for people to appreciate the photo...that's just sweet sweet cake.

Just in case people don't know who he is...he is a Master poet and singer/songwriter. If you are a fan of deeply powerful and hauntingly beautiful lyrics Mr. Cohen is your man.
