O ........ K ... none of that makes sense to me :headslap:
architects rarely do - but the glazing and structural work are very cool

I am just wondering if when the light hits them right, the words cast shadows on the sidewalk which would be way cool.
Might be, but the words would be backwards.
In order to "read" the shadows the words should have been etched into the glass backwards to project the word in a legible form. To have been an effective shadowform, it would have been better to etch a large scale image or multi-panel scene.
Nice capture, JAS. I like the perspective and building in the background.

Interesting...never noticed this one before and I get off at that c-train stop almost every day if it's the first street station which I think it is...amazing what you see when one looks up.:)

Very nice capture, nice angle, like the muted tones, the Steel supports just make the photo and the words add an interesting visual into the mix. I like everything you did to it, cool shot.

An artist friend set me on the right track (pun intended) And with a little research, this is what I found. The words are part of an Art Installation by artist Derek Besant commissioned by the City of Calgary. The installation is titled "Wander".
"Here, the art is included in the form of cowboy poetry, written by established Calgary artist Derek Besant and realized as text sandblasted onto the glass panels of the station canopy. The words are projected by the sun onto the adjacent buildings and floor of the platform, shifting with the sun throughout the day and providing a subtle and elegant clue to the design origins. Decorative LED lighting, not yet operational, will extend the effect into the night. The completed station is already a popular addition to downtown, spurring adjacent new restaurant and retail development. The design received a Mayor's Urban Design Award in 2005."
A little more about the artist:
