This guy was running around the house the other day. I presume a centipede or Millipede, but not sure.

I tried to give a perspective of length with this one, but it was difficult to also capture the antennae.

Thanks guys. He was an excitable little critter. We occasionally get some weird insects/arachnids. We had a scorpion once, but I didn't get any pics.

If it's a centipede you need to be careful AntZ ... some of them are poisonous around here.

We had a scorpion in our house at Albany Creek a few years back. They are the forest variety and not very poisonous at all ... about as bad as a Green Ant. I'd be more worried about the Centipede.

Apparently our little forest scorpions light up under black light ... they glow in it.

This guy wasn't going to bite anyone after a rather chilly night.:D I figure if it is painless for cane toads then it should also be painless for this guy. If you look closely you will see some condensation on him.

Don't ever use a Cane Toad to measure something like that AntZ. You can drop as little as 1mg of hydrochloric acid on a dog and kill it ... yet a Cane Toad can handle 10,000 mgs.

Thanks Marko. DOF was intentional to highlight the length.

that's because, if you are like me, you are too busy going 'gah' and 'eek' and throwing shoes at them. :D

but it is a nice picture.
