This was originally shot in color. I converted it to B/W in PhotoShop Elements. I adjusted the contrast for the clouds and sky. Any constructive criticism would be nice.

I really like this....the contrasts in the clouds and the whole photo work for me...well done. :)

A slightly bigger shot makes it easier for us to critique but this looks good to me as well. Composition looks nice, as does the contrast.
I can only offer a small suggestion I think and that's the composition might have been stronger if you'd have moved to your left and only included about half of the dead tree. I think this would have removed the messy looking lower left part of this shot and created an interesting framing in the process.

I would love to see the colour version too!
However, my only addition is that to crop off the bottom part of it to eliminate the roots. When I scroll down it makes it stronger for me.
but that's being nit-picky. I really like it!

I saturated the color photo a little.

I agree with you that B&W was the way to go. I think that the crop works too. My only other piece of advice would be to clone the sign out. But nice work!

I'm wondering what the sign says now I can see there's a sign in there :)
Generally we find something around the 700 to 800x600 size works well.

It's got a real Ansel Adamsy feel to it. :)

I like this new cropping and prefer the b/W - (nice size).
There's still lots of room here for additional dodging and burning which will help this sing even louder.

Same for me here, the b&w is much better. :)
