Any advice on taking baby pictures?

This shot again could benefit from NO FLASH.

I'd put the baby near a window with soft light (NOT direct sunlight) and shoot without flash. I'd use 400 speed film.

In general - it's a good idea to play around with angles. Get down on the ground, take a profile shot...experiment.

Although this shot is a good souvenir, there really isn't anything 'interesting' about it. play with the angles and the lighting and you'll have a MUCH better souvenir that's also a great shot.
