Last night my wife and a friend raced in an 8hr MTB race starting from midnight and finishing at 8am this morning. They were in the 2 person Woman's category and placed 1st.
Apart from the prize they also received a little medal for their efforts ...

I saw Leangel out there and saw the podium. :1st: In the state of delirium one is in after 8.5 hrs of racing I don't recall congratulating them. So congrats. Nice way to return to racing. Great event.
I had a great race and am waiting to see the results.

Thanks everyone. I like my 2nd shot there best I think.

Leanne did very well. We've raced these sorts of races for years now and have a few plaques etc sitting on the bookshelf from our various placings. First time either of us got a medal though.

In 2 weeks time Leanne is racing a 12hr 'Dusk Till Dawn' race but in a 4 person team instead of a 2 person. Not a very serious team this time though.
I've given up racing for the time being ... kinda burnt out on that about 2 or so years ago. I just ride for fun these days :)
