a couple of shots from Kerry Park in Seattle. i don't normally do city shots, but a client asked me if i had any, so i had to go get some. 30D, 24-135 at various settings...

Love em all. What's the name of the mountain in that first shot?
thanks, everyone! MA, that's Mt. Rainier, one of the taller peaks in the Cascade range. it's 14,410 feet high, and is an active volcano. it's about 55 miles as the crow flies from where i was standing to take that shot.
that first pic was also published on a post card a couple of years ago... :)

I was going to ask if that was Mt. Rainier, which is also famous as a beer (at least in the Northwest).

it used to be. the Rainier brand is no more, another Northwest icon bought out by Stroh's, who then sold it to Pabst. Pabst sold it in 1999, and the brewery was closed... the old brewery building is still there, but is now used by Tully's Coffee as a bean roasting house. i've heard the Rainier brand is now brewed under contract in California, but i haven't seen it for sale here in 10 years...

thanks, Kat! i actually made a 30x40 print of that one for a customer once - she framed it with museum glass, and she loves it... says it's like looking out a window at downtown Seattle.
All very nice shots. I especially like the composition with the Mtn in shot 1.
