Turkey Vulture...

I have never known these guys to winter on the coast...they always flew south for the winter. I was quite astonished to see 2 of them in December! They never flap...just soar! I thought at first they were ravens until I got a good look at them in the camera. They are related to condors I believe.

LoL....a pigeon with a 6 foot wingspan...beautiful birds to watch!
