This is posted as taken. It was freezing fog and available light, I did not change the image, only added borders.

This photo reminds me of photos taken when photography was young and ripe with experimentation...
I like this a lot. The perspective and tones are cool.

I love your enthusiasm CCS ... it's great to see you throw yourself into this in this way.
I like this one also. To suggest much in the way of changes to improve it would be pretty much guesswork on my part as it's cool as it is.
Maybe the composition might have been strengthened by crouching down for a lower angle to feature some of the leaves a bit more and give the trees some more height and stature? This might have eliminated some of the bland sky as well. Just a thought.

I had to look at it a while before I liked it. But I really do now. If anything, I'd just liked to see more on the top of the frame. But really like the mood... :)
