I'd like some opinions on this shot please.
I'm quite undecided which version I like best. I took 3 shots for an HDR but was never happy with the results from the HDR softwares.
Here's the original shot untouched

This is a manual HDR done in PS but not using the HDR feature in PS itself.

And this one is the manual HDR processed further

I can't decide between the 2nd and 3rd shots

I would go with the second one- I can see more of the tree in it. However, I'm not wild about any of them. You can't really tell that the person is fishing. and the light seems a bit harsh.

Yes you can't see the splash from the dynamite entering the water.
After burning my eyeballs..I'm on the second one. Just that little bit of reflection on the water on the right makes it for me!

agreed; shot 2.
The whole right quarter of the image is too dark for my eye. Shot 2 reveals more shadow detail than the other 2 shots. Hope that helps - Marko

I am trying to like the image but there is nothing really compelling about it. Choice between the 3 would be number 2.

Thanks for those comments. I think I agree and lean toward shot 2 also.
However, I think I'll reprocess this and clone out the fisherman.

I thought the fishermand was a golfer looking for his ball! :headslap:
He looks like a golfer and it looks a bit like the water hazzard on a golf course.
I'm with #2 also MA.

I'm really liking the 3'rd shot myself. Very stunning!

Thanks Duane. So the softness I added to the tree above and the water appeals to you?

Am i the only one who likes #1? :)
I dislike the bare branch at the top and with #1 the sky is the least interesting so my eye quickly moves out of that area. I see the bridge in the distance which is nice and bright, and somewhat interesting. Panning across i then see the fisherman. He/she isn't the first thing i saw surprisingly enough. I really like the higher contrasting reflections in 2/3 but for me the picture is more about the fisherman. The shadow at the far left of the road keeps me from falling off the edge. I really like the shot, and i like it bright.

Thanks for adding that ruleofthirds! Interesting to hear your different thoughts on this one.
