So, I just remembered about this shot I took this summer:

We were at my grandparent's property out near Cranbrook, which always has great photo ops. I was setting up to shoot the doe that beds down near the cabin every night (shoot with the camera!), when I turned around and saw the sunset! Then, to top it off, a Great Blue Heron was flying overhead. I took several frames, and this one turned out the sharpest (handheld, Nikon 35mm f1.8 at f3.5, 1/50, ISO200). I cropped, applied a little sharpening, bumped the saturation a little - that's about it! The colours that evening were actually more vivid than captured - made my job a little easier.
