I am curious if anyone knows if it's a an important difference between Canon 40 D and 50D ?
A sales person told me that is not that much difference, and that worth it to buy a 40D instead of 50D.
Now, I don't wanna buy, but in the future I think I will switch to Canon.
It's just a plan.
Nikon is too expensive for me, and the lenses as well.

Thank you in advance for the answers.

Cheers !

Here's a good comparison (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos50d/)

Some highlights:

40D is 10.1 MP, 50D is 15 MP
50D Live Preview is higher res
50D sensor supposedly better in low light
40D ISO range 100-3200, 50D is 100 to 12,800
50D has much higher resolution LCD
50D has an HDMI connector.

Check web forums for shutter release problems on the 50D. It is a problem on the 40D and I had to send mine back for warrantee repairs. I had to send it thousands of kilometers away in Toronto and it took 18 days (which was very fast) If it fails after 1 year it is a costly repair.
