Muslin Backdrops

Hello there folks. Looking to pick your brains. I have just purchased a backdrop rig that came with a white an a black muslin. As I go on shooting portraits I would like to add more colours/patterns to the mix. Is there any suggestions out there as to what colours work best and are most versatile for most types of portraits. I do pretty much everything from headshots, babies, boudoir-style. Anything and everything

I'd say a combination of mottled patterns would be handy.
