You have some nice shots there!
I especially love the sunset boat shot with its amazingly rich colour!

I will add my welcome as well.
The problem I have with the first photo is that it is not immediately clear what I am looking at.
The sunset has very good colour and the boat in the foreground certainly adds perspective and makes it less flat in appearance. The cloulds certainly add to the sky as well. Two problems that I see which may be due to compression are some loss in colour transitions and some picture noise.
I would also tend to brighten it a little, or crop some of the black area at the bottom.
The last one certainly has an interesting subject. Technically the shot is a little on the cool colour temperature side due to lack of sunlight. This can be seen in the slight blue hue to his undershirt. It could be warmed up a little.
The undershirt is also slightly washed out exposure-wise in the chest area. The jeans could be brightened a little to separate them from the background and more detail could be brought out in the face and head from a little selective brightening as well. His fist further from the camera needs a little more light on the "needles" (or whatever they are called), so that they do not almost blend into the background.

All good points on shot three - question - is this a real background?
Thx

Welcome Mandrake,
I'm with Tegan on shot #1... doesn't really do anything for me...
2 and 3 are pleasing
Aside : Marko.. the fact that you have to ask about the background on shot 3 fits nicely into your recent podcast. Does this count as a distraction?
