Mare and I made a day trip to the Low Country of South Carolina yesterday just to show her around one of the sparkling gems of our coastal region. I made her climb to the top of the Hunting Island Light and talked her into eating a bowl of She Crab soup. All things considered, I think she enjoyed the day which was concluded by a stroll on a salt marsh boardwalk where I came away with the makings of this one.
