There's better ones I've seen, but so rare that I can get out and be ready to catch them.

Very pretty! this seems to be the best time of year for sunsets, from now until winter.

Nice crisp looking colors. Really like the sun's rays at the foot of the mountain. A real wall hanger for sure.

I also want to venture out these evenings they are doing controlled burns locally trying to kill off the pine beetle and the sky is very smoke filled. Nice capture and good on you for getting out there.
Gorgeous! I sure do miss the moutains. I've come to the conclusion..I don't like beign stuck square in the middle of Canada...

After seeing so many beautiful coastal scenes compliments of iggy, corp.louis and others, I sooo get what you mean. Prairie and foothills scenery is okay I guess, but I want some Great Big Sea!!!! I'm an aquarius afterall.

Thanks all! At least I got one good shot after tearing down kms of gravel roads trying to find a place with a good view of the foothills and no power lines etc in the way. Many of my other shots had major flare problems because silly me forgot to remove my protective filter.... might have had some flare even without it shooting in to the sun like that.... but I've now officially changed my stance on protective filters from selective use to indifferent because this is the 2nd time I forgot to remove it in a flare proned situation... and it's only a mid-grade lens anyway so why even bother.
