I put in Home Sweet Home into an English/French online translator and got this ... bonbon de famille à la maison
No idea if that's right though :)

Candy House of the Family? (roughly)... Marko's the right one to translate for us! My French is not nearly as good as his.
Very cool photo! Nice start for a first post. Welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy your stay.

Thanks for all the comments! I would love to say it's my house but sadly it's not... This is a great forum and it's so inspiring to see such amazing images from people. The podcasts are really helpful too for ideas and techniques for newbies like me (or should I say moi?). More please!

A close translation of "Home sweet home" could be "Foyer doux foyer". This expression is not however part of the usual french language.

Clement's French is likely better than mine. "Foyer doux foyer" makes much better sense. Foyer means home but it also means fireplace or hearth. Doux means soft or sweet.
.. bonbon de famille à la maison
To me this is a terrible translation; retranslated back to English it means family candy at home or the family's candy at home.
