I followed this little female around for 1/2 an hour trying to get a shot of her because it's so rare to see one. Every time I got close to her, it'd fly to the tree at the opposite end of the swamp and off I'd go again...rinse, repeat! This was as good as it got. I did see her dive in the pond after a fish...Wow!

You did well, as soon as I get close to one of these it flies away. One day I swear I'll get one :)

Michaelaw, have you tried the Jericho and Ambleside ponds? I've had luck at both of them this year.
