I thought I would try this shot as an SC photo. I'd appreciate any feedback given....thanks :)
IMO (the infamous three letters) . I don't mind the selective coloring on the round cola signs or the open. The newspaper box/garbage isn't working for me. It just stands out too much. Did you up the saturation in the colors?

I think selective colouring usually works best with one colour only. I'd drop the blue for starters.
Then I'd drop the colour from the street level box as well as Kat said.
I'd probably drop the window sign ... it's too small to be of real interest I think in this case. Might make a cool subject for the selective colkouring on it's own though and blow my comment of one colour out of the water.
The yellow in the cola signs might work though.

I like the cola sign colouring though for me it's a bit too saturated. The rest of the colouring isn't working for me. The shot as a whole looks like it might be able to use a contrast boost.
Hope that helps

Here's another attempt with a different photo...any improvement?
Thanks for the input!
I like the treatment of the second photo more but the composition of the first. If you could make the Coke signs in #1 crisp red and white it would be perfect.
cheers

That's exactly what I was thinking, Not sure why, a nice suprise for the eye when you see it? I think that's what I felt when I noticed the open sign.
