Thoughts? I am trying out Silver Effects Pro. After I did my B&W conversions I used the Ilford HP5 Plus film setting to get the grain in the image. I also used the red filter setting, but then dialed down the contrast a little.

I like the conversion; Silver Effects has some great filters, but I'm not sure about that heavy black shadow lower right - it seems to draw my eye away from the rest of the image.

I thought that as well. I was debating on dodging that area.

I imagine you could regain a good deal of detail in that area by using the shadow protection sliders or by dropping a control point on that area.
Nice image, though. The deep shadow doesn't distract my eye, but a little more detail might be nice.

I fixed the extreme shadows and also burned in the front of the bulding a little and opened up the shadows on the vegitation. I think it looks better now, thoughts?

I realy like this shot, Good job, but the grainy, gradient sky takes away from it though.

I like it too. Maybe "play up" the graininess.
