Hi! In this photo I would like to know what you think especifically of the inclusion of so much floor. I think it adds to the image, and heps to frame the subjects better. But maybe I'm wrong and you'll all recomend a crop...

I'm conventional on this one....and I'd crop it...and would have preferred everything a bit closer (larger in the frame) Just my:twocents: though.

Agree with Marko. The leading line in the foreground is going away from the subject, and there is part of a brick wall on the right which could be cropped out.

I would crop the floor up to the begining of the shadow, and also crop the right hand side where the is the brick just peeping in the edge of the frame. So I agree with Marko and Antz on that one. Nice colours however.

My two thoughts on this image are [as already mentioned] the yellow line is a distraction since it takes the eye out of the image, and the shadow on the wall bothers my eye.

I'll echo the above comments about the yellow line leading the eye away from the subject, but I like the cobblestones in the corner, they add a nice texture. And yeah, that brick on the side is a distraction. Nice shot, I still like it quite a bit.

I'm getting a little worried that I can't be as objectives about my photos as I am about work by other people. It's very likely that I would make exactly the same points you all made about this photo if it was taken by someone else.
Oh well... So what about this one (that doesn't have those problems)? What do you think?

I like it! The colours are great and I like the repetition of shape and form and colour actually, since the yellow is repeated in the purse..

That is SO true and it works on many levels not just photography. Looking at ourselves objectively is also exceedingly difficult. Everyone else can see our mistakes/bad choices/dysfunction yet we are often blind....until we see it in anyone else.
I like this shot but I like the position of dog/man one better. This shot could use some slight leveling.
Hope that helps - Marko
